He is Independent agricultural consultant specializing in the development of livestock and forage production in arid and semi-arid areas to improve the livelihoods of rural producers, and institutional strengthening to enhance the capacity of national programmes to improve livestock productivity and marketing. He has 27 years (excluding seven years as research assistant / associate in Switzerland (1972-79) and nine months as awardee of a French Government junior scholarship (INRA) in France in 1971/72). He is Doctor of Technical Science (Sheep and beef cattle nutrition and energy metabolism) from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Zurich), Switzerland, session October 1975 – July 1979. He has rich international experience in non-developed countries like Afghani-stan, Central and West Asia, Kyrgyz-stan, Tajikistan, Central & West Asia North Africa, Pakistan, West Asia and North Africa.

James Robert Stapp is an internationally known consultant. Bob Stapp is a global organization and leadership development expert who has dedicated his career to improving the effectiveness of organizations and communities and the quality of their leadership. In over thirty years of professional work in the private sector, as an MBA professor, as the founder of his own consulting business and as an entrepreneur, Bob’s principal focus has consistently been to help people recognize and achieve their potential and reclaim the power to determine their own futures. He did Master of Public Administration from University of Colorado, Boulder, ColoradoDecember, 1977. He is Member, Board of Directors, Afghans for Afghan Development (AFAD), Kabul, Afghanistan, 2009 – present.

Rich Mason brings ten years of experience in monitoring and evaluation of international development projects, including substantial international work as both a resident advisor and short-term consultant. He has demonstrated expertise in measuring, documenting, reporting and strengthening the results of reproductive health, family planning, HIV/AIDS, child survival, humanitarian assistance, economic development, democratic governance, human rights, anti-corruption, community mobilization/participation, public sector strengthening and private sector capacity building projects. His record of achievement spans the developing world including Central Asia; all regions of Africa; East Asia and the Middle East and includes, most recently, both Iraq and Afghanistan. He possesses extensive experience with USAID-funded programs, procedures and regulations.

Dr. Kashif brings more than 14 years of deep domain expertise to his role as Research Director at AMRIC Research. He is responsible for interfacing with the entire organization to conduct quantitative and qualitative research, which includes questionnaire and sample design, field interviews, surveys, statistical analysis and reports and research software trainings to business and social development sector. Dr. Kashif earned Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Philippines School of Business Administration Manila in 1997 when he was 26 years old. He joined Bahria University as assistant professor in 2000. Currently he is connected with Iqra University Islamabad as associate professor. He is Head of MS/ Ph.D program at Iqra University. Dr. Kashif is HEC approved Ph.D supervisor. He has supervised 10 Ph.D and 15 M.Phil scholars successfully in the field of business administration. He has also supervised 50 independent studies at MS/ Ph.D level. Dr. Kashif has more than 55 research papers published in national and international journals.

Bashir Ahmed Tahir has about 30 years of combined professional experience. Areas of his specialization include education, training and social and media research, social and human development, human rights and gender, Globalization and WTO, livelihood and poverty alleviation, participatory project management, implementation and monitoring and evaluation. As a Social Development Expert/Consultant, since 1979, he has worked with a number of International & National organizations and NGOs, on a number of researches and training / development projects in the education and social sectors. He has worked in a number of countries to implement various projects, i.e. Pakistan, Afghanistan, USA, UK and Sri Lanka. He has extensive experience of fieldwork in the hard areas of Pakistan, including Balochistan, FATA & FANA. He is well versed about the participatory planning, social development approaches, and implementation process for the capacity building and empowerment of the communities and organizations. Mr.Tahir is a competent and skilled writer and produced a large number of books, training manuals and reports. He is able to produce documents, reports and other materials.

Ashiq Muhammad Rehman did Master of Public Administration (M.P.A., it is equivalent to MBA, equivalence certificate provided by University) from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad (Pakistan), in 1999-2001 session. He is an expert in Research Methodology, Sampling Design, Survey Instrumentations, Data Analysis, and Report Writing maters. He encompasses over 9 years of research experience particularly in the data analysis of socio-economic, education, health, agriculture, political, and market research based surveys and monitoring & evaluation throughout the Country and abroad. He has carried out a number of assignments and projects (More than 40 assignments in Afghanistan) related to research and surveys in Afghanistan during last three and half years. Currently he is country representative of an International Research Company “AMRIC Research” in Afghanistan. He possesses the ability to deliver the following range of services:-

Ms. Iram Saba, Ph.D

She holds the degree of Ph.D. in Rural Development (Session 2004 - 2008) from Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam while M.Sc & Mphil in Rural Development (1999-2001) from Agriculture University, NWFP, Peshawar. She is working on women empowerment in Balochistan. She has vast experience on: advocacy for women’s rights, gender equality, reporting on the gender mainstreaming issues, provision of technical support to the line department for gender mainstreaming, launching of campaigns for awareness and advocacy about violence against women, conducting research on issues related to gender mainstreaming and women’s issues and suggesting measures for improving status of women. She is author of many research publications and able to produce documents, reports and other materials particularly related to rural development and gender issues.

He possesses the degree of MBBS and MPH from the reputed universities of Pakistan in 1989 and 2001 respectively. He is highly experienced in the fields of public health, reproductive health, primary health care and tuberculosis. He is proficient in organizing, designing, evaluating and facilitation of workshops for doctors and paramedics. Expertise in developing: Curriculum for reproductive health and tuberculosis projects, Field research, Survey questionnaire, Monitoring and evaluation tools, Training, Program Implementation, liaison with government departments, Project planning and execution, Financial planning and Budgeting, Presentation skills, and Strategic planning and leadership. He has diversified educational qualification with technical and professional experience at various levels of management. He has over the 15 years experience, worked with national and international organizations at key positions like Programs Coordinator, Project Director, District Program Manager-Health, Manager special projects, and Clinical Physician.

Dr. Razzaq is senior consultant at AMRIC research. He has a PhD in management sciences from reputed university of Pakistan where he specialized in research methods, Human Resource Development. In addition to teaching and work-related courses, he has 23 years of experience as a social sciences research consultant. Underlying all his research decisions is a solid understanding of the principles of research, Marketing Analysis and a strong sensibility of social issues. He works closely with clients to draw out and clarify their information needs before designing and implementing an appropriate research strategy. His extensive academic and experiential background in quantitative methods and statistical analyses provide him with a firm grounding in making effective research. His strengths are survey research methods, sampling techniques, questionnaire design, and report writing. Ather educational background and consulting experience testify to him ability to carry out a wide variety of research methods that merge sound research practice and administration with a broad understanding of the larger issues. Ahtar remains a master trainer to Training Programs Organized by TEVTA to Pedagogic in the Years 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008.

Dr. Arshad Zaheer has more than 12-year’s extensive experience in market research and strategy. He is also an experienced qualitative researcher. He has worked with clients on virtually every type of qualitative study. Zaheer brings an impressive depth and breadth of experience to his qualitative work, have conducted various focus groups and many hundreds of depth interviews. He has led strategic initiatives with senior management across industries to assess business processes. Zaheer participated in various trainings like Gender Discrimination and Project Planning and Training and Special Assignment on Business Process Reengineering. Zaheer earned doctorate degree in Management sciences from reputed university of Pakistan.

Dr. Nadeem Safwan has more than 13-year’s extensive experience in market research and social sciences. He is also an experienced qualitative researcher. Safwan has worked with clients on virtually every type of quantitative study. He brings an impressive depth and breadth of experience to his qualitative work, has conducted various studies about social issues and market research as principal investigator. Safwan conducted various trainings like Gender Discrimination, Human rights and Business development.

Dr. Abdus Sattar Abbasi is principal consultant in AMRIC research. He has 14 years experience of extensive research and evaluation in product design, product development, Sales Administration and Marketing. Abbasi Supports entrepreneurs with their business development need using a values-based, integrated bottom line approach. He also can help businesses review and refine their Sales strategies so they are relevant to their defined customers. Abbasi remains on various key positions in corporate sector. He is associated with Herbion Baku LLC as Director in Azerbaijan.

He holds the Philosophical Doctorate Degree in Soil Science (Soil Clay Mineralogy), 1989, from Texas A&M University, College Station Texas USA. May 23, 2007 to present, he is Professor of Soil Science, Department of Soil Science & SWC at University of Arid Agriculture, Rawalpindi. During February 1982 to May 22, 2007, His major researches include Improvement of soil management techniques for enhancing agricultural production and environmental quality; modeling heavy metal ions transport through soil to improve predictions on soil and groundwater quality; Research in assessment of soil and crop quality in suburban areas irrigated with wastewater. Wastewater renovation through irrigation and land application, Modeling of phosphorus transport through soils in relation to soil properties to predict nutrient loss and environment quality; Improve soil physical condition through tillage and fertilizer management in rainfed area to increase fertilizer and rainwater use efficiency, Modeling of adsorbing and non-adsorbing solute transport through soils, Soil management, industrial and farm by-product use for reclamation of degraded soils Potassium availability in relation soil mineral suite; Soil mineralogy and K quantity/intensity relation in three alluvial soils from Pakistan; and Crop production through soil and fertilizer management, reclamation of degraded lands. He has about 25 years experience in agriculture sector. He has forty five (45) international and national publications while more than 20 international and national conference presentations.

Dr. Nasir-ud-Din holds a Ph.D. (Soil Science) from Department of Water Science and Engineering, University of California, Davis, California, USA, 1971. He has over 35 years experience in research studies, project appraisal, design and management, and monitoring & evaluation regarding environment, irrigation and agriculture, and water resources management. He has a membership of many societies like Agricultural Institute of Canada; Alberta Institute of Aerologists; Soil Science Society of America; American Society of Agronomy; and Soil Science Society of Pakistan. He has worked with a number of International & National organizations and NGOs, on a number of researches, training, and development projects in the agriculture and social sectors. He has worked in a number of countries to implement various projects, i.e. Pakistan, Canada, Africa (Zambia). He is also Author of many publications and working papers.

He is the Ph.D. Research Scholar in Political Science from University of Cincinnati, OH, USA. He has a broad vision for designing projects, planning and management of projects. He has a strong experience in research, surveys, planning, management, monitoring, & evaluation regarding socio-economic and political development areas. He is also Author of many academic research publications and papers. He has performed different duties during his professional experience including designing projects planning and management; data analysis and report writing; coordination and planning of the survey; designing of questionnaire for the nation-wide survey; training of survey investigators; inspection and quality control assessment of the field survey; organizing seminars/ open forums on different themes of democracy with partner organizations; organizing and planning Focus Group Discussions; and Report Writing on Survey Management.

He is the Ph.D. Research Scholar in International Relations from Qauid-e-Azam University Islamabad. He is water issues specialist in Pakistan and have contributed into different research journals. He also has strong academic background into the political understanding of the socio-economic development and of the international political economy. He is also visiting faculty member of different universities in Pakistan. He has been Resource Person (Ex-Assistant Director Research) in Foreign Office and currently he is Producer International Relations Programs at Pakistan Television.

He is the Ph.D. Research Scholar in Economics from Qauid-e-Azam University Islamabad. His Ph.D. Thesis “Intellectual Property Rights, Technology Transfer and Economic Growth” is in progress and at the final stage. His concentration consists of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Development Economics, and Econometrics areas. The following duties have been performed by him working at different positions like Consultant/Researcher, Assistant Economic Adviser, Assistant Director, and Research Associate/Research Officer: Preparation of Concept Paper; Literature Review; Carrying out Data Analysis & Interpretation; Report Writing and Policy Recommendations; Preparation of Brief/summaries concerning about issues in Pakistan’s Economy; and Research work on various economic issues. He is currently Visiting Lecturer of Economics, Bahria University Islamabad Campus. He is teaching Key Courses: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Development Economics, and Pakistan Economy. His articles have been published in newspapers of The World Trade Review, DAWN.

He holds Ph.D. degree in management sciences from renowned national university of Pakistan. He has wide experience at different managerial positions. His major positions consists Director Personnel in the National Highway Authority for three years, Director (HRD)/Manager in National Road Safety Secretariat (World Bank project) under Ministry of Communications for 18 months, Liaison officer/Directing Staff (GENA Co. UK) in Saudi Arabia for three years and head of management sciences in one of the universities of Pakistan. He presented twelve scholarly papers in the International Conferences. He has fourteen publications in International Journals and eleven papers are under final stage of process. He has chaired four International conferences. Dr. Khan is expert and master trainer of capacity building on HRD.

Dr. Imran is a Human Resources expert. He is a management and organization development consultant who specializes in human resources issues and in management development to create forward thinking workplaces. He is also a professional facilitator, speaker, trainer, and writer. He has more than 12 years of experiences in developing and Implementing Performance Appraisal Management System, Managing Grievance & Conflicts, Policy Making/Optimization, Implementation, Restructuring, Organizational Development and Corporate Vocational Trainings. Dr Imran is associated with Dawood Islamic Bank Limited (DIBL) as Assistant Vice President HR.

Babar Zaheer Butt, Ph.D

Dr. Babar Zaheer Butt is a senior consultant with more than 10 years broad experience in Finance, investment and financial analysis. He is Principal trainer to state banking of Pakistan (SBP), Institute of Cost, and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF). He has more than 10 research publications in international reputed journals. He holds Doctorate degree in business administration and Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA) from renowned institute of Pakistan.

Dr. Asif holds a doctorate degree in management sciences. He has a work experience of more than thirteen years with banking institutions like NBP (National Bank of Pakistan), First Microfinance limited. In his assignment with NBP he was responsible for developing and managing MIS, developing bank’s financial inclusion strategy through Business correspondents/facilitators, managed the operational work of the branches, data base administration and also provided them technical support, customer services and trained them with the latest changes in the systems. He work in different research projects in Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and established their IT Department. His area of expertise includes Micro Finance, HRD, Market Research & Pilot Testing, Costing & Pricing of financial services, and Strategic Business Planning. He is certified productivity specialist by NPO, Pakistan and Productivity Practitioner by APO Japan.

Mr. Ansari is PhD Scholar and Lecturer in SZABIST Islamabad. Ansari earned MS Finance degree from SZABIST. He has more than 5 years of teaching and consultancy experiences in Capital markets. His core competencies areas includes; Management accounting, Stock market analysis, Corporate Decision Making, Assets, and liabilities management. He is responsible for professional analysis and assessments including survey reports, economic analysis, financial analysis, business plans, and feasibility studies. Ansari teaches key courses that includes Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Money & Banking, Islamic Banking, Security Analysis, International Financial Management, and Financial Institutions.

He did Becholar in Business Administration (BBA-Major management) from KARDAN Institute of Higher Education, Kabul, and session 2007 – 2010. He has sound experience with USAID/ DAI ASMED, AREU and German Agro Action on different monitoring and evaluation projects. He possesses the ability to deliver the large range of activities like Preparation of M&E plan for projects; Preparation of M&E performance result frame work; Developing output and outcome indicators; Developing various M&E tools and matrices for the projects; Developing various databases for the projects; Preparation of project annual plan and other plans; Writing monthly, quarterly reports of the projects; Supervision of overall data collection activities; Supervision of overall data entry activities; Coordination among all project streams; Compiling, Cleaning, Interpreting all data collected from various streams; and Maintaining project MIS system and generating reports. He has excellent reading, writing and speaking skills in Pashtu, Dari, English and Urdu languages.

Mr. Shahid Hassan is a banker by background and currently works as an independent research analyst and consultant in Pakistan and Afghanistan. His specialization lies in bringing together results of research, analysis, and evaluations. He possesses a diversified experience in different categories of professional analysis and assessments including survey reports, economic analysis, financial analysis, business plans, feasibility studies as well as grant, credit and investment proposals and other miscellaneous professional write-ups. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.

Mr. Ijaz Ur Rehman is MS Scholar. He holds Master degree in Economics and Finance. He brings more than 2 years of experiences to AMRIC research. He works in conjunction with other consultants to provide statistical analysis of survey, Focus group discussions, Instrumentations and Quantifications. His core competencies are; Data cleaning and Screening, Data Validations, statistical and econometric modeling, inferential statistics, base-line analysis, Multivariate analysis, Cluster analysis and Time series analysis.

Mr. Naveed Azeem holds MS degree in Management Sciences. He is the Ph.D. Research Scholar. He has over 4 years experience of working in the development sector. His expertise areas includes: analysis of the data, survey designing, monitoring, research, and evaluation studies, report writing and conducting training sessions on developing written and oral communication skills.

Mr. Nadeem Akhtar has been working in development sector of Pakistan since 5 years. He has extensive experience in Monitoring and Evaluation of different programs. His expertise includes data management, designing of questionnaires, data entry applications, and data analysis in SPSS. He has also extensive experience on report writing. He is member of different professional bodies/organizations like Population Association of Pakistan, Asian Population Association, Global Health Council, and White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood and others. He is Environmental Director for Planting Peace—this is self-initiative campaign to make environment sustainable and hygienic. He also has Master in International Relations and Master of Science in Development Studies. He is a profiled writer on different English newspapers. His interest includes Population and Development, Environment and Development, Social and Public Policy for a Welfare State. He has worked on different USAID projects as well, has undertaken baseline surveys, and developed different monitoring tools.

He holds the masters in English Language and Literature. He has a vast experience of nine years in research publications with various reputed National and International Organizations, nationally and internationally. He has command on reports writing, editing, proofreading and translations. Similarly he has more than three years experience of Research work itself, which includes research papers, research reports, methodologies, questionnaires, conduct of FGDs and FGD reports preparations and Monitoring & Evaluation reports and trainings especially on local governments. Currently he is working with Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) as Program officer Research and Publications. His areas of interests are Consumer Rights, Environment & Climate change, Gender, Local governments and democracy.

Abdul Hameed (Hameed Diplai) is a young professional with outstanding skills in the area of Journalism and Community Development with academic qualification of Master in Economics. He has been writing Features and reports for the popular Sindhi Newspapers and some of his articles have been published in daily DAWN. His writings focused the poverty, gender discrimination, political analysis and social issues. He coordinated and compared countless seminars. He has coordinated many projects of International Organizations. He possesses professional skills in project monitoring, designing and implementing of monitoring system, conducting socio-economic impact assessment of community based activities and projects, technical and analytical report writing, community mobilization, proposal development and project planning. Mr. Diplai has been working in Thardeep Rural Development Program (TRDP), Pakistan NGOs’ Forum (PNF); a Project of Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO), and Eni Pakistan Limited.

He is the Lecturer of Economics department in Gujrat University, Punjab. He has the degree of M.Sc in Economics from International Islamic University, Islamabad. He has over the 5 years experience in social development matters. His areas of expertise consist of data management, designing of questionnaires, data entry applications, data analysis in SPSS and report writing regarding socio-economic and political matters.

He holds the degree of M.Sc (Hon) Agriculture and has a rich expertise and skills in agriculture business and development. He has more than 10 years experience at different posts like Trainer, Administrator, Project coordinator, and Survey Field Coordinator.

He possesses the degree of Master of Science in Sociology. He is working with an international organization as a senior data quality officer. He is the expert and has over the 8 years experience in the field of Statistics, Developing Data Entry Programs and Supervision of Data Computerization, Data Management & Processing, and Data tabulations and Analysis. He is proficient in SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences), CSPro (Comprehensive data entry software – Window based), PC-Edit (Comprehensive data entry software – Dos based), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

He possesses the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) degree from Mashad University, Iran while his Ph.D. degree is in progress from Tehran University. He is the expert in Market Analysis, Business Development Studies, and Strategic Plans for developing business services and additionally specialist in Carpet sector. He performed the following duties during his professional experience: creating awareness for Afghan Exporters about the potential markets for their products; creating a strategic plan for developing business services the IIM partners in Kabul and provinces; design and launch business development service programs in Afghanistan; and serve as a liaison with companies and organizations. He is also author of many books and articles.

His key qualifications of expertise and skills are Project Designing, Coordination, and Management; Budget Development; Research and Survey planning and execution; Economics and Planning; Communication in five languages; Monitoring & Supervision; Event Organization; and Public Relations. He has a degree of B.A Economics from Department of Planning and National Economics, Kabul University, Kabul, Afghanistan. Currently he is working in Root of Peace/Asian Development Bank, Kabul, Afghanistan as Agribusiness Program Manager.

Mr. Qaiser Mehmood is an energetic young human resource professional with an experience of serving private sector organizations for more than five years. He served as change agent by leading the organization in organizational development process. The growing researcher’s, research oriented approach towards problem solution, capacity building of human resources to cater organizational change demand and systematic approach gives him an edge.
