AMRIC Research believes that a safe and healthy reproductive life is essential for a healthy and progressive life, which needs planning for prevention and education for safer and healthy reproductive life at national level.

ARIC Research provides a full range of research services like surveys, focus group discussions, interviews with youth, and trainings for organizations working in the area of reproductive health and sexually Transmitted Diseases like HIV and AIDS. .

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), also known as Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) or Venereal Disease (VD), is an illness that has a significant probability of transmission between humans by means of human sexual behavior. While in the past, these illnesses have mostly been referred to as STDs or VDs, in recent years the term sexually transmitted infections (STIs) has been preferred, as it has a broader range of meaning; a person may be infected, and may potentially infect others, without showing signs of disease. Some STIs can also be transmitted via the use of     Drug needle after its use by an infected person, as well as through childbirth or breastfeeding. Sexually transmitted infections have been well known for hundreds of years.

Family planning

The status of maternal health in Pakistan is very poor. According to an estimate 30,000 women die each year due to pregnancy related causes. It is estimated that about 500 maternal deaths occur per 100,000 live births each year in Pakistan while (WHO & UNICEF) estimate it around 340, but in reality it may be higher because of under registration of deaths in country and absence of cause of death information. Major reasons of the deaths are absence of proper health care facilities, knowledge about the reproductive health and concerns, absence of proper space in pregnancies.

AMRIC Research believes that an awareness about the pregnancy related problems and their remedies, knowledge about safe and healthy reproductive life are essential for wellbeing of society. To reduce complications during pregnancy and labor it is essential to strengthen primary health care infrastructure. Increase in contraceptive prevalence, discouragement of gender discrimination, empowerment of females in decision making regarding reproduction, acceptance of antenatal care as a right of every pregnant lady, discouragement of old myths about pregnancy and reproduction are essential.

AMRIC Research provides services to conduct research studies to analyze causes of maternal deaths and to identify preventable factors leading to maternal mortality in our setup. Awareness programs, trainings and seminars regarding reproductive health, merits of birth spacing and its social acceptance.

Sanitation

AMRIC Research believes that wastes can cause health problems whether human or animal feces, solid wastes, domestic wastewater (sewage), industrial wastes, or agricultural wastes. To reduce health hazards caused by waste Sanitation is essential.

Sanitation is the hygienic means of promoting health through prevention of human contact with the hazards of wastes. Hygienic means of prevention can be by using engineering solutions (e.g. sewerage and wastewater treatment), simple technologies (e.g. latrines, septic tanks), or even by personal hygiene practices (e.g. simple hand washing with soap).

AMRIC Research promotes hygiene through hygiene training services, in depth studies on sanitation whether rural or urban, planning and policy making about sanitation.
